Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis Airport, an IHG Hotel

Stayed one night. This hotel is located about 6 miles (7–8 minutes) west of the airport, right off the freeway in a convenient area close to several restaurants. The property completed a full renovation about a year ago, so the rooms and public spaces feel fresh and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and my room was clean, comfortable, and well designed. Overall, I had an excellent experience and would definitely stay here again.

The rooms here are average. We had a handicap accessible room with a less than desirable sliding bathroom door. I only mentio. It because I slammed my fingers...The service was fantastic, and between the accommodations provided by the front desk and the "o so friendly" kitchen staff, headed by Ms. Nancy, made our hotel stay really awesome.

Our stay was wonderful! The room was clean and comfortable as always. Nancy was the icing on the cake! She ran the breakfast room like the family dining table. Making us all feel special.

This is an old hotel that seems like it's been completely remodeled. Rooms are very nice and clean. Just that the AC is very loud/noisy. Breakfast is pretty good compared to other Holiday Inn Express locations I have stayed at. The coffee machines are pretty good and available all day. Front desk service was a little cold. Plainfield area is pretty close to the Indianapolis airport.

Front desk service was superb! Super friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and the bed was comfy. The breakfast buffet and coffee were good, and the whole place was clean and tidy. The only "complaints " (and I don't recall of we let them know at the desk or not) were the air didn't cool the room very well. We set it low low before bed because it never cooled properly so it was a bit uncomfortably warm for sleep. Also the drain in the tub didn't drain efficiently. After just 2 minutes in the shower the tub was filling quite a bit. We will likely still stay again when we are back in town next year so I can't say it was a bad experience overall, just a couple of inconveniences. Oh and I was pleasantly surprised how well the noise from outside (we were right off the interstate) was shielded in the rooms! We were in the room closest to the lower level exterior door and heard nothing of the traffic noise until we stepped outside the hotel.

We always enjoy staying at this Holiday Inn Express. The shower was not working in the room we were given. After calling front desk, we were given a different room and the shower worked perfectly! The thermostat needs to be better. The temperature is hard to get at a certain point. Put the thermostat at 68 for night sleeping the air conditioning kicks on. You have to turn the thermostat to 73 or higher before the heat goes on and then its too hot! So, we turned it off! The breakfast was good and Nancy was a very good hostess!!

Nancy, who fixed the continental breakfast while we were here, was fantastic. Not only was the food good, but she is also the sweetest person I have met that works at a hotel. She made our stay feel extremely welcome, almost like we were at a second home.

Stayed here on 6.15.2025 while traveling through Indiana. Friendly staff, especially the girls that work the breakfast area and the crew at the front desk. Clean and Spacious rooms, hot showers and comfortable beds. I have stayed at this location several times, and highly recommend to anyone traveling through Indianapolis.
